Gabriele Soppelsa is a musician and clarinet teacher.
Born and raised in the mountains of the Belluno area, he developed a passion from an early age for classical and symphonic music and 20th-century composers, as well as progressive rock and modern, contemporary, and electroacoustic music.
Since 2000, he has been a member of numerous wind bands and orchestras and has collaborated with rock, funk, and klezmer groups, expanding his activity to include poetry groups, theatre companies, and street artists, with whom he has taken part in concerts and festivals in Italy and across Europe. In 2008 he founded Antikamera, a chamber music ensemble with which he composes and performs exclusively original music. In 2012, he moved closer to modern and contemporary music, performing at major festivals such as La Biennale Musica in Venice.
He studied at the “A. Steffani” Conservatory in Castelfranco Veneto, where he earned a degree in Clarinet and later in Instrumental Teaching. He attended masterclasses in soprano and bass clarinet with leading contemporary clarinetists, and further developed an interest in educational theatre and Kodály pedagogy.
In 2017, he was solo clarinetist with the Pourquoi-Pas Ensemble for the multimedia opera Fenix DNA at the Gran Teatro La Fenice.

Giovanni Sparano is a composer, performer, and sound artist primarily engaged in live electronics, improvisation and teaching.
His compositions have been performed in venues and festivals such as the Venice Biennale Musica, Rome EMUfest, International Conference on Intelligent Autonomous Systems, New Made Week Project “SIAE — Classics of Today”, Venice Gran Teatro La Fenice, and New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. In 2017 the Gran Teatro La Fenice commissioned him the music for the multimedia opera FENIX DNA, by the internationally renowned artist Fabrizio Plessi, scheduled for the Opera Season.
As electronic performer he participated in events such as the Venice Biennale Musica and Biennale Architettura, Sound and Music Computing Conference, Festival Camino Contro Corrente, Audio Mostly, Opera Season of Venice Gran Teatro la Fenice, Torino To Listen To Festival, and openAGON.
As researcher in the fields of digital audio processing and live electronics, he published scientific papers for the Colloquio di Informatica Musicale, International Computer Music Conference, and Sound and Music Computing Conference.
He teaches Computer Music at Italian music conservatories and holds a Second Level Master’s degree in Composition from Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan and a Master’s degree in Composition and New Technologies from Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Venice.
He is a founding member of Arazzi Laptop Ensemble and Pourquoi-Pas Ensemble.His scores are published by ARS Publica and Taukay Edizioni Musicali.
